For the novice golfer looking to ‘Give Golf a Go’ and potentially take up the game. One hour group sessions delivered by our PGA Professionals. Following graduation, the Pathway provides the Beginner with the opportunity to become a Junior Academy Member.

For youngsters who have some golfing experience and are looking to expand their skill set and abilities by showing a level of commitment to golf. Junior Academy Members receive 12 one hour group lessons with a mixture of driving range and short game tuition, 6 on course competitions throughout the year, one range token per day and access to the golf course at ‘off peak’ times for a preferential 9 hole fee and subject to being considered course ready. The Academy is designed for the more serious golfer wanting to attain a WHS handicap and subsequent graduation to Junior Membership.

Once a level of golfing ability, commitment and course etiquette is demonstrated, the Junior golfer will be eligible for Junior Membership. This provides many opportunities to play organised golf, such as internal competitions, Club matches (League and Knock Out) and Open competitions at other clubs throughout Surrey. Ad hoc coaching is provided by Effingham’s PGA Professionals with a greater emphasis on target setting and game improvement plans.
